I want to lose my tummy. So I went to the gym. But 1 hr later, I had a sinful dinner.
At Bedok Simpang.

Going home.

Brought Kojiro for a med check-up today. The two angels are very up and happy this morning.

* koji got power ranger stickers from the doctor. and he wants them to be stuck on the hand like a tattoo.

The doctor was so bz exclaiming "so cute, so cute!" that he din seem to be really doing a proper medical check-up. * Kojiro with power ranger stickers, showing the Ultra-man pose. * and the little toddler has a fun time eating. Chawan-mushi, miso soup and some udon for him.

Bye little frenz, see you come August. I hope you would have learnt your Japanese by then, and ai-chan would've been able to walk then. Will miss ya...

Shop Opening Party 13th June

It's Aiko's first birthday, and the shop's official opening. Was late, so din really get good shots of the event. The shop is at No. 10 Haji Lane, and she sells ladies apparel and accessories/sundries. Some of the stuff are imported, and the rest are her own designs.

* shop is quite small, but has an eclectic array of clothes. it's almost like a flea market, because some stuff only come in one piece.* close up of the display table.
* yes, i got a bad shot of the food. and its the only picture i've got. the caterer is quite good, they serve very nice finger food, french style. I mean, its really nice to look, and to eat.

Spring Court

Had a good dim sum lunch at Spring Court, Upper Cross Street. We came across it by chance, when we were searching for an air-conditioned place to have lunch at ChinaTown.

Hey it's quite nice, and the price is reasonable. It's nicer than Red Star. As in me and my fren agreed. Din take so many pictures though, cuz he ate quickly.. gave up after taking the first picture.

My porridge was only $0.78. Some promotion for a few dishes... was a pleasant surprise, cuz din expect it!

* I really like this one. It's called Xiamen Popiah. One of their specialties...
* then we went somewhere else for mango dessert. its quite similar to xu liu shan. but abit exp for the few pieces of mango. It's $3.50 per bowl. I can't remember the shop name, its like 2 streets away only. They serve zhi1 ma2 hu2... etc. Total of 10 items it think, with 2 huge shops. Guess, its good profit.

Isn't it amazing how celebrities hog the headlines more than more urgent issues?

I did read somewhere that she told the press to leave her alone, and give more press time to more urgent issues on hand. I mean, drunk driving is wrong, but give her some breathing space? Too bad she's a celebrity, the world's going crazy about celebrity culture.

C'mon, she's not that dumb a bimbo to notice that there is too much attention on her. She says she'll stop acting dumb in this article.

Aiko's Hello Kitty Birthday Party

It's Ai-chan's first birthday party! She has a Hello Kitty themed party, since its her favourite character. My goodness, you should see the length of how much effort her mama put in to do a party for her....

My first time to a kid's birthday party. I saw the pictures of my first birthday. I had a party too, but only food.

* she's holding on to a ballon shaped into a flower. There were guys who came to blow balloons for the kids. so cool rite. * this baby is one rocker. The kids love her. * Ai-chan joining in the games. * bro and sis having fun at the games. sis looks like she's having more fun... * oh, and the magic show...It's kinda funny. But some kids are real rude. Smart alecks. * koji watching on seriously. * and the show ends with a bang.. streamers all over.

* Barney the purple dinosaur turns up. Everyone gets excited, even the parents. Well, I was worried that Barney would faint of heat stroke. Many kids were almost knocked over cuz he can't really see them. * One of my favourite pix. Koji's and LV's back. It's so charming.

Gathering at New York New York

A few of us, ex- and existing Isetan colleagues met up for dinner on Friday.
Went to New York, New York... which I was told often served horrible food. But, it was alrite! I won't say fantastic, but it didn't suck either. Word of mouth is such a powerful tool.

* bruscetta for starters. This one is nice. Really.
* Seafood platter for 2, not 3. The crab was kinda weird, and not alot of flesh to start with. But it's a sizable helping.

Food galore... Haven't gone to the gym at all this wk... *faintz. C the calories I'd consumed this wk. * Lunch: dabao from the kopit tiam. This is really yummy you know... and it's like only $2.50.
